This Week’s Visitors

It has been a busy week here at the Lafayette County Oxford Public Library but it’s been a good week too!  In fact, we had two wonderful visitors and we wanted to share them with you.

First, Steve Massengill from the House of Representatives came to visit us on Monday after we went to visit him at Eggs and Issues hosted by the Ecomonic Development Foundation of Lafayette County.  He was very very intersted in our AWE computers and wanted to know all about how we swap books between libraries.  Then he agreed to take a picture with us which is going straight into our 2012 scrapbook!

Then on Thursday Lauren Alexander was our featured guest at our monthly Books’N Lunch.  Mrs. Alexander discussed her two books: The Chinaberry Tree and Choices: 36,400 a Day.  We were delighted with the turn out and think that Mrs. Alexander had a good time too.

With this week being so productive, we can’t wait to see how next week turns out.  Well… maybe we can wait a couple of days.  What about you?  Preparing for a great next week too?  We’d love to hear!
