14 Days of Cheap Dates: Part 6

We don’t need to tell you that Valentine’s day is just over a week away.  Nope.  You’ve probably already got the whole thing laid out right? The perfect dinner, the perfect flowers, the perfect gift… Oh, you don’t?  Well then by all means keep reading!  We are on idea number 6 of our 14 Days of Cheap Dates.  Actually, let’s be honest, today isn’t so much about a date (but it could be!), it’s really more about finding the perfect gift, and still being cheap of course.

This idea comes from our library foyer.  Our Friends of the Library book sale is a year round project that always has a great selection of books, magazines, vinyl records and Reader’s Digests to chose from, and most cost only a quarter!  Of course, you don’t have to tell your honey how much you spent, but you could.  He’d probably think it was great that you didn’t get swept away by the fancy dinners and pretty flowers and expensive gifts. And you could always spend the cash you save on a little Valentine for yourself…
