I am not ashamed to admit that I am addicted to the Bravo network. And I adore Andy Cohen who is not only the Executive Vice President of Development and Talent at Bravo but also hosts a 30 minute nightly talk show called Watch What Happens Live. I view all of the Real Housewives franchises, yet I still find time to work at a great library, read books, and have a life. So my reality show mania is fine. I promise.
Andy has written a book called Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture and I devoured it in no time. Growing up in St. Louis, little Andy dreamed of actually crawling into his family’s television set. And his fascination with all things TV realted continues to this day. He actually had a Facts of Life reunion (starring Tootie and Natalie) on his talk show last week! But I digress.
While in college, he took a huge chance and got an interview with Susan Lucci for the school newspaper. He recounts his years at CBS News, meeting Oprah, and the beginning of the Real Housewives of Orange County. He doesn’t hold anything back even when dishing about some of his embarrassing moments. And trust me there are plenty!
Most Talkative would be a wonderful book to take on a vacation this summer. Andy has written a gossipy, hilarious, and honest book about a pop culture obsession and a life that makes me green with envy. Call us and we will be happy to put you on hold for it!
