A beautiful Friday afternoon in January

Today is the sort of day that makes us love living in the South. The sun is finally out and the temperature is in the 60’s. Not a great day to be inside, but we love what we do and that means serving all of you!

We have some fun things coming up here at the library.

*Monday, the 14th at 10 am we will be showing Giraffes Can’t Dance for our Children’s Morning Movie.

*Wednesday the 16th we are going to have a table at the Unchained Tour which is stopping at the Powerhouse in Oxford so come by and see us.

*Laura Beth Walker, our new Head Librarian, will make her radio debut on Supertalk Mississippi 105.5 FM during the Community Spotlight Show. It airs from 9:00-10:00 am on Thursday the 17th.

*Also on Thursday the 17th at noon we have Books & Lunch featuring Peggy Webb the author of the Southern Cousins Mystery series. Lunch will be served so call us at 662-234-5751 to register.

*We have a puppet show called The Mysterious Egg on Thursday the 17th at 6 pm and Friday the 18th at 10:30.

*On Wednesday the 23rd our Kids’ After School Craft will begin at 3:30. Please call and register.

We are working on building our Ebook collection and we have steadily been selecting new DVDs. Plus, during January we are collecting canned food items for The Pantry as part of our annual Souper-Bowl!

We hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful day.  Have a wonderful weekend!
