A summer hiatus

We have to admit that the postings on the blog have been sparse the last two months. But we cannot apologize for it, because we have had a wild, hip, and fun Summer Library Program this year. Attendance at our events reached an all time high and that makes us excited! Thank you to everyone who registered for “Can You Dig It?”. And we could not have done it without our fabulous group of summer volunteers. They worked extremely hard with smiles on their faces and we know they had a good time as well.

And so August is upon us! We have our new events calendars available at the circulation desk. And our first Books & Lunch of the month is tomorrow.

oxfhailmanposterJohn Hailman will be here to discuss his new book From Midnight to Guntown. Lunch will be served so call us today if you would like to attend.

On Tuesday, August 13th at noon, Max Butler is giving a short talk about Identity Theft. We are having pizza so please call ahead to register.

And last but certainly not least:

oxfyalltwinsposterMargaret and Katherine King will be here to talk about their new memoir Which is Which?. We love having the Kings visit because they have so many wonderful stories about Oxford! Lunch will be served so please call us to register.

We promise to be more diligent with our blog this fall. If you notice that we are slacking, please let us know.
