It’s that time of year again! Classes begin at the University of Mississippi on Monday so the students are back in town. While that does mean a bit more traffic and bigger crowds at restaurants and events, it also is an exciting time. Oxford would not be the fantastic town that it is without the Ole Miss community.
The LCOPL is excited to welcome the UM students back and we want to let you know about a few ways the public library can help you while you are here.
*Come and see us and get a library card!
*As soon as you get your reading assignments for your classes, give us a call at (662)234-5751 and see if we have any of the books either at our branch or the over 40 other libraries in the Mississippi Library Partnership. If the item isn’t in Oxford, we will be happy to do our best to get it for you. For free!
*Once you have your library card, you can search our catalog online and place holds on your own.
*We have free wireless.
*Books, DVDs, Books on CD, Magazines, and eBooks all check out for free.
*We are a semi-quiet place to study away from campus.
Another thing the staff of the LCOPL excels at is answering questions. Call us and we will work diligently to find the information that you need.
Have a great time while attending Ole Miss and living in Oxford. And, of course, HOTTY TODDY!
