During the lull following the holidays, before I return to classes, I have caboodles of free time on my hands and unlike other more type A personalities, I revel in having very little to do. I have spent the last week neck deep in some of the best books, movies, and music I could ask for. I listened to The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up (my apartment is practically gutted and brand spanking new), read Fables: Legends in Exile, and listened to hot new music by Baroness and Pusha T. And I’m able to stream all of this content for free on my tablet from the comfort of my now clean home.
Your First Regional Library card provides you online access to Hoopla, a media host that houses countless titles including audiobooks, movies,
television, music, comics, and documentaries. There are also workout videos as well as a wide range of children’s materials. Most of the content is new, like Michael Punke’s 2015 novel, The Revenant, now a box office hit staring Leo Dicaprio. But there are throwbacks too, the original television series The Addams Family and Dark Shadows among my favorites. Hoopla materials are available for streaming or download on virtually any device. So skip the drive and borrow from First Regional Library at home. With free access to all of this awesome stuff, why wouldn’t you?
